![]() ![]() When the TV is operating normally, this can be turned off in the TV’s settings menu. Out of the box, the red standby light is ON when the TV is OFF. If the power standby lamp is OFF, check the power cord. I’d guess main board but up to you which one you want to purchase first. In power standby mode, the power standby lamp at the bottom of the TV lights up. If it turns on then problem is backlights and you’ll need to pull apart to replace them. If so, you may be able to put TV in bright enough light to see if the LCD is working and a picture is displayed. If it’s none of the above then the problem is likely a faulty main board or power supply and you’ll have to replace those. 1) Unplug TV and disconnect LED backlights from power supply. If you have a short on any of those strips then that’s most likely your problem.Ģ) Disconnect LED backlight cables and test voltage on backlight connections on the power supply board and test for shorts in that circuit.Ģ) Inspect power supply board and main board for any swelling capacitors or burnt out components. Use your multimeter and test to see if each LED strip circuit is shorted. Unplug TV, open up the back and find the cable/wires that go to the backlight LED strips. If it turns on then problem is backlights and you’ll need to pull apart to replace them.Ģ) Step 1 should render step 2 unnecessary but I’ve already written it :). Press the button and wait for a few seconds. If so, you may be able to put TV in bright enough light to see if the LCD is working and a picture is displayed. The main board might flash LED if it’s not getting enough power or if there is a short somewhere. I imagine you’ve googled a solution and tried unplugging overnight then restarting. even the guys who were offering repair services and just throwing it in the oven we're charging more than I was.A blinking LED on lots of devices normally means the device has a known fault of some type. also Fire TV bullied on Facebook and I'm on my 4th semi getting large YouTube channel as Fire TV bully. and if the LG was made in that time period I was talking about there's a good chance cuz they are rare and hard to find Main boards! If you want to know if you have one of these models, I'm one of two people in the entire world that offer a repair service where we do the repair right! You can find me at multiple personalities premium TV repair and services on Google or on facebook. if it's hard to find that main board if it's sold out everywhere and even better if you find it but if they want ungodly amounts. A good way to tell if you have one of these LG's is to look up the main board for that tv. ![]()
